Peer review process

The journal Arte entre paréntesis accepts submissions in Spanish and English. The Editorial Committee checks that the contributions conform to the objectives, norms and policies of the journal. If an article is rejected by the committee, it is returned to the author and correction is requested. The author's response time should not exceed 10 calendar days from the revision date and, in case of delay, the article will not be taken into account. If the article is approved, the Editorial Committee will make the decision to send it for external evaluation under the double-blind modality (both the reviewers and the authors are anonymous between them). As a result of the opinions, the article proposed for evaluation may be: (1) Rejected. The author cannot forward his article. (2) Publishable conditioned. The author may resend his article taking into consideration the corrections indicated or recommended by the reviewers. There is a period of no more than 30 business days from the date of the result. This implies the forwarding of his work. (3) Publishable with modifications. Authors must make the changes requested by the reviewers and pass another round of review. The maximum number of possible revisions is three. Once the article is approved by the reviewers, it will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee for its final acceptance or rejection. The author must accept the changes suggested by the Editorial Committee before the publication of the article. The final results will be made known to the authors during the 20 days following the end of the evaluation process.

The evaluation criteria address the originality, validity and relevance of the topic, the knowledge and application of theoretical and methodological foundations, the solidity of the argumentation, the coherence of the discourse.

Once the article has been accepted and in order to proceed with the publication, the author must sign the (NON) EXCLUSIVE USE LICENSE, as well as present a valid photo identification.
